Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mental Warrior (ranked 1710 p4p, 3250 weight class) and Noah Ortega (ranked 239 p4p, 399 weight class). Warrior comes to the cage accompanied by Side to Side. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mental Warrior!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Ortega!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A shot to the liver by Ortega. Beautiful body shot.
Ortega shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Warrior as he avoids it easily.
Warrior stuffs the takedown attempt from Ortega. Ortega gets slowly back to his feet.
Ortega ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Warrior moves away.
Warrior defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ortega.
As Ortega tries to get set, Warrior tries to push him back and clinch up but Ortega manages to avoid the attempt.
Mental Warrior has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noah Ortega.
Warrior lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ortega circles away quickly and effectively.
Ortega scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Warrior connects with a crisp jab.
A slow jab from Warrior misses its intended target.
Ortega scores with a jab to the jaw.

Ortega shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ortega is working for a kimura but Warrior is defending it quite comfortably.
Warrior tries to get to full guard but Ortega has control of the leg.

Warrior trying to control but Ortega postures up.

Ortega is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Warrior still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Warrior has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Warrior tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ortega's legs.
Ortega is being controlled here.
Warrior working the ground and pound but Ortega is defending the strikes.
Warrior misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Warrior wants to control but Ortega is keeping him busy.
Ortega prevents Warrior from moving into mount.
Ortega misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Warrior tries to move to mount but Ortega blocks the move with his legs.

Warrior trying to control the action but Ortega is working from the bottom.
Ortega tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ortega is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Warrior off and has taken his back!
Ortega is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Warrior is in bad spot here.
Warrior looking very determined here, making life difficult for Ortega.
Well, with Ortega on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Warrior is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Warrior defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Warrior tries to free his leg and advance position but Ortega is retaining full guard.

Ortega looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Warrior trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortega is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Warrior postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Warrior has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ortega looking for a sweep. Not yet Ortega, not yet.
Ortega trying to keep a closed guard but Warrior is proving a slippery customer.

Ortega working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Warrior doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Warrior manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Warrior controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Ortega has his feet on Warrior's thighs here. He's pushed Warrior off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Warrior screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Noah Ortega made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
