Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bum Fighter (ranked 23707 p4p, 4169 weight class) and Kyoji Horiguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bum Fighter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Bum Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyoji Horiguchi!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Horiguchi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Fighter fails with the takedown.
Horiguchi connects with a high kick.

Horiguchi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Horiguchi is looking to take a break and control but Fighter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Horiguchi decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fighter to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horiguchi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Horiguchi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fighter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fighter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fighter!

Horiguchi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Fighter is controlling him well.

Fighter wants to stand but Horiguchi is controlling his arm.

Fighter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Horiguchi on the ground.
Fighter lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Horiguchi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Horiguchi has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Fighter is on him like a limpet, forcing Horiguchi back against the cage.

Fighter shoots in for a takedown but Horiguchi shows good takedown defense.

Horiguchi feints and as Fighter raises his hands in defense, Horiguchi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Horiguchi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horiguchi throws a head kick but Fighter moves out of range.
Fighter tries to clinch there but Horiguchi circles away.

Horiguchi passes Fighter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Horiguchi looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Horiguchi postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Fighter to stand up.
Fighter is breathing heavily.

Horiguchi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Horiguchi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That's time! Fighter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Horiguchi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fighter sprawls well initially but Horiguchi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fighter has one foot on Horiguchi's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Horiguchi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fighter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Horiguchi has managed to get both his arms back between Fighter's legs - danger averted.

Horiguchi stands up and waves to Fighter to follow him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Horiguchi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
