Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaobon Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Overeem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kaobon Killer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Overeem closes the distance and clinches.
Overeem scores with a knee to the head.

Overeem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Killer misses with a takedown attempt - Overeem sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Overeem tests Killer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kaobon Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Killer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Killer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Killer misses with a head kick.
Overeem really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Overeem lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Overeem lands with a slapping head kick.
Killer misses with a takedown attempt - Overeem sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Scott Overeem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaobon Killer.
Killer stalks Overeem and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Overeem's face. Overeem staggers backwards, shaken.

Killer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Overeem lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Killer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Overeem makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Overeem counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Killer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Overeem makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Killer really felt that one!

Overeem fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Overeem lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Killer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Overeem as he avoids it easily.

Killer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Overeem scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Overeem clinches up against the cage.
Overeem landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Killer is trying to drag Overeem to the mat but Overeem just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Overeem has clasped his hands together around Killer's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Killer manages to work his way to half guard, despite Overeem's best efforts.

Killer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Killer tries to roll over but Overeem keeps him under control.

Overeem moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Killer.

Killer tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Overeem takes a little break here. Killer wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Killer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Killer tries to roll over but Overeem keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Overeem seems content to control.
Killer moves into full guard.

Killer working for a triangle but Overeem defends it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Killer has his foot on Overeem's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Overeem works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Overeem closes the distance and clinches.
Killer gets underhooks to prevent Overeem's takedown attempt.
Overeem stalls.
Overeem lands a nice knee to the body.

Overeem successfully pulls guard.
Killer trying to control but Overeem is working from the bottom.
Killer works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Killer trying to control the action but Overeem is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Killer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Overeem knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Killer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Overeem!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Killer is landing with some decent strikes but Overeem is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Overeem tries to hold on but Killer pushes him away.
Killer looking to ground and pound but Overeem is blocking nicely.

Killer is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Overeem is surviving well by controlling Killer's body position as best he can.
Overeem working to try and regain half guard.
Killer throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Overeem wants to control but Killer is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Killer trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Killer thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Killer throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Killer lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Overeem hang on?

Killer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Overeem can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Overeem really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Killer putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Killer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Overeem manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Overeem is looking to reverse the position.

Killer tries for a kimura but Overeem is defending well.
Sloppy strikes there by Killer.
Overeem on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Overeem tries to get out of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Overeem tries to buck Killer off but Killer is having none of it.

Killer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Killer is looking to take a break and control but Overeem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Killer throws an elbow but Overeem slips to the side and avoids it well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Killer wants to control for a moment but Overeem uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Killer throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaobon Killer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Overeem is pressed up against the cage. Killer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Overeem down to the mat. Overeem avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Killer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Overeem counters with a nice kick to the body.
Killer shoots for a double leg takedown but Overeem sprawls well. He's pushed Killer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Scott Overeem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaobon Killer.

Killer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Overeem keeps working.

Overeem is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Killer pulls his head out easily.

Killer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Overeem wants to control but Killer is keeping busy.
Killer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Overeem defending well though.
Overeem is in trouble now - Killer has advanced to mount!
Killer misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Killer landing strikes from the mount and Overeem is in trouble!
Killer blocks Overeem's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Killer tries to control but Overeem wriggling away.

Killer looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Killer unloads with some shots from mount but Overeem bucks and avoids them well.
Killer thowing shots but they're missing.
Overeem holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Killer tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Killer is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Overeem has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Killer tries to control but Overeem wriggling away.

Killer wants to finish this one by submission but Overeem is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Killer.
Killer punching from mount but Overeem doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Killer has hold of Overeem's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Overeem manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Overeem tries to reverse the position but Killer maintains control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kaobon Killer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Killer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
