Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ted Bundy (ranked 517 p4p, 746 weight class) and Kokkoro Kirin (ranked 31 p4p, 48 weight class). Ted Bundy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kokkoro Kirin!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundy shoots for a takedown but Kirin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bundy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if Bundy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bundy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kirin tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kirin wants to get back to his feet but Bundy is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Bundy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Bundy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kirin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kirin lands a nice shot that snaps Bundy's head back.
Bundy scores with a sloppy right hand. Kirin should have avoided that one.

It looks like Kokkoro Kirin has been cut.
Bundy with a nice cross.
Kirin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bundy.
Kirin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bundy throws an off balance right hand
and Kirin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bundy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bundy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kirin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kirin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bundy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bundy attempts a counter takedown but Kirin avoids it well and moves away.
Kirin throws an overhand right that lands on Bundy's shoulder, as Bundy tries to avoid the shot.
Kirin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bundy on the side of the head.
Bundy throws a lazy right hand but Kirin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kirin misses with a straight right.
Kirin misses with an uppercut. Bundy saw that one coming.
Bundy dips to his left and cracks Kirin with an uppercut!
Kirin lands a right hook to the body.

Kirin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bundy checks a leg kick nicely.
Kirin throws a hook to the side of Bundy's head but Bundy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bundy dives in and grabs Kirin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kirin pushes down on Bundy's head and hops out.
Bundy has his takedown stuffed
and Kirin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ted Bundy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kirin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bundy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kirin.
Bundy is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Bundy misses with a takedown attempt - Kirin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kirin's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kirin duly obliges.
Kirin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kirin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kirin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A punch lands to the side of Kirin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bundy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kirin.
Bundy feinted with a counter takedown.
Nice takedown defense from Kirin. No joy for Bundy on that attempt.

Bundy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kirin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Bundy misses with a hook. Kirin ducked under it nicely.
Bundy is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Bundy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bundy lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Kirin is looking to control Bundy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kirin avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirin tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bundy manages to move to mount!

Bundy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bundy wants to control the pace but Kirin is squirming around nicely.
Bundy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kirin tries to lock up and control but Bundy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bundy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kirin is looking to escape.

Bundy goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kirin turns into him and now he's in Bundy's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kokkoro Kirin will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Bundy takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kokkoro Kirin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bundy defending well as Kirin loads up on a big left hand.
Kirin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bundy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kirin misses with a hook.
Kirin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Bundy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bundy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kirin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bundy's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Bundy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kirin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Bundy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kirin dives on top into guard.

Bundy blocks a jab.
Kirin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bundy was well out of range. Poor timing from Kirin.
Kirin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bundy manages to avoid it.
Bundy goes for a double leg but Kirin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kirin continues to drive forward.
Kirin throws a punch but it's blocked by Bundy.
Kirin prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kirin misses with a punch to the body.
Kirin misses with a punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kirin.
Kirin misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kirin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bundy is defending well for now.
Bundy is trying to drag Kirin to the mat but Kirin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bundy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bundy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kirin postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bundy is on top in guard.

Bundy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kirin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kirin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bundy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kirin has managed to get both his arms back between Bundy's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kirin wanted to stand there but Bundy had control of the position.

Bundy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

I think Kirin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
