Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bishop Alexander (ranked 24275 p4p, 24154 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bishop Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kiang moves away.
Kiang is trying to counter with his kicks.
Alexander throws a big shot that misses.
Alexander moves into range and clinches up with Kiang.
Alexander lands with a left to the head.
Kiang is working for takedown but Alexander is calmly controlling the position for now.
Alexander gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kiang regains guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Alexander is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alexander sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kiang's guard.
Alexander is looking for a kimura but Kiang is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Alexander to get the leverage.
Alexander perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Alexander is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kiang is just riding it out for now. Alexander eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alexander is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kiang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alexander.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alexander has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kiang defend it? Alexander steps over the head and cranks it - Kiang is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Alexander!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bishop Alexander!
