Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Prez (ranked 2146 p4p, 4287 weight class) and Azjahvkalan Ulanbataar (ranked 0 p4p, 318 weight class). Azjahvkalan Ulanbataar acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Azjahvkalan Ulanbataar!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ulanbataar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Prez somewhat.

Ulanbataar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Prez to the ground. Ulanbataar is now in Prez's guard.
Prez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ulanbataar's guard.

Prez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ulanbataar is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ulanbataar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Prez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ulanbataar controls the pace.

Prez feints and as Ulanbataar raises his hands in defense, Prez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Prez is looking to counter the offense by Ulanbataar and move into the clinch.

Ulanbataar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Prez tries to avoid it but Ulanbataar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Prez to the ground. Prez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Prez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ulanbataar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Prez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Prez swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ulanbataar is now in Prez's guard. A big mistake from Prez there, giving up the dominant position!

That was a close round but I would say that Dalton Prez will probably get the nod.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ulanbataar can do anything to dispel that myth.

Prez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ulanbataar is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ulanbataar has escaped and now he's on top!

Azjahvkalan Ulanbataar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ulanbataar has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Prez is on him like a limpet, forcing Ulanbataar back against the cage.

Ulanbataar shoots in looking for a takedown. Prez tries to sprawl out of it but Ulanbataar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Prez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ulanbataar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ulanbataar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ulanbataar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Prez keeps working.

Prez is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Ulanbataar locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Prez is forced to tap!
