Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Better Dead (ranked 4237 p4p, 1915 weight class) and Auric Gallahad (ranked 423 p4p, 259 weight class). Gallahad is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Go to War. The key to victory for Better Dead has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Better Dead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Auric Gallahad!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dead misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gallahad looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dead throws a series of strikes that have Gallahad backpedaling.
Dead misses with a lunging right hand

and Gallahad counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dead won't be happy with that.
Dead is trying to get back to his feet.

Gallahad is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dead has escaped the position, nice work there.

Gallahad goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dead rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gallahad's guard! Nice work there by Dead!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dead got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gallahad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dead has managed to get both his arms back between Gallahad's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dead wants to control from the top but Gallahad keeps moving.

Dead stands up and waves to Gallahad to follow him.
Gallahad throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dead's waist but Dead gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gallahad off to one side.

Dead throws an overhand right that lands on Gallahad's shoulder, as Gallahad tries to avoid the shot.

Dead darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Dead looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gallahad changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Gallahad counters with a single leg into guard. Dead didn't expect that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dead is adopting a defensive guard.
Dead really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dead is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

It looks like Dead is going to stand back up.

Gallahad is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dead pulls his head out easily.

Dead will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dead seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Gallahad takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Dead throws a right hand that Gallahad ducks under and follows up with a left that Gallahad also avoids with ease.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looked like Dead was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The fighters circling - Dead throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And Gallahad tries to counter it with a takedown but Dead pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Better Dead seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gallahad tries to clinch there but Dead circles away.
Gallahad throws a lazy right hand but Dead sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dead misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gallahad tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dead defends well and Gallahad ends up having to push Dead into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Dead scores with a sloppy right hand. Gallahad should have avoided that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dead feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Gallahad crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
