These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saul Goodman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Viikinki!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Viikinki.
A big right from Viikinki misses.

Goodman drops Viikinki with a beautiful combination! Viikinki stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Goodman is looking for the KO!

It looks like Tony Viikinki has been cut.
Goodman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Viikinki paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Our sources have told us that Goodman has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Goodman misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Viikinki.
Viikinki lands with a light punch inside.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice left hand lands by Goodman.
Nice body punch from Viikinki - that landed with a thud.
Goodman is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Viikinki is keeping busy.
Goodman misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Viikinki scores with a nice hook to the head.
Viikinki misses with some punches.
Viikinki throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Goodmans head.
Goodman tries a body shot but Viikinki blocks it.
Goodman lands an elbow that stopped Viikinki in his tracks for a moment.
Viikinki lands with a right to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Viikinki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Viikinki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Goodman under the eye.
Goodman moves in looking to clinch but Viikinki pushes him off.
Goodman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Viikinki. That did some damage!
Viikinki circles away from the clinch attempt

and Viikinki counters with a crisp right hand that drops Goodman! Viikinki lets Goodman back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Goodman closes the distance and pushes Viikinki back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Still in the clinch, Viikinki scores with a nice short uppercut.

Viikinki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Goodman stuns Viikinki with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Viikinki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Viikinki now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Goodman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Viikinki looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Goodman wants to clinch but Viikinki slips to the side

and Viikinki counters with a crisp right hand that drops Goodman! Viikinki lets Goodman back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Goodman is rocked!

It looks like Saul Goodman has been cut.
Goodman throws a leg kick
and Viikinki rattles Goodman with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Goodman tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Viikinki dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Goodman stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tony Viikinki!
Tony Viikinki decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
