Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Borgia (ranked 909 p4p, 650 weight class) and Kristo Kivi (ranked 116 p4p, 86 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kristo Kivi!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borgia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kivi was well out of range. Poor timing from Borgia.
Alexander Borgia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Borgia shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kivi defends it nicely.
Kivi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Borgia.

Borgia displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kivi throws out the jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Borgia has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Borgia manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kivi manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Kristo Kivi has been cut.

Borgia has hold of Kivi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kivi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kivi wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Borgia.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Borgia goes for an armbar but Kivi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kivi.

After the fight, Alexander Borgia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
