Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Coryatt (ranked 1663 p4p, 254 weight class) and Toby Keith Yrkje (ranked 227 p4p, 38 weight class). Coryatt comes to the cage accompanied by Slim Thug - Welcome 2 Houston. Yrkje has chosen As Good As I Once Was as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Toby Keith Yrkje told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Coryatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toby Keith Yrkje!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coryatt throws a nice looking combination but Yrkje bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Coryatt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Yrkje moves out of range as Coryatt strikes.
Coryatt scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Yrkje drops Coryatt with a beautiful combination! Coryatt stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Yrkje is looking for the KO!

Coryatt is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Coryatt tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Coryatt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Coryatt does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Coryatt seems to have got his legs back now.
Yrkje throws a hook but Coryatt avoids it easily.
Coryatt tries to bum rush Yrkje with a series of wild strikes but Yrkje uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Yrkje takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Yrkje throws a shot from downtown. Coryatt moves away and avoids it.
Nice defenses there by Coryatt.
Yrkje throws a leg kick that misses.
Coryatt avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Coryatt half committed to a counter leg kick.
Coryatt misses with a low kick.
Yrkje appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Coryatt chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yrkje can pounce on him.

Yrkje moves into the clinch.

Yrkje makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Coryatt is trying to stall.
Coryatt takes a shot to the head.

Yrkje fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Coryatt misses with a hook to the ribs.

Yrkje blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Coryatt tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Coryatt throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Yrkje softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Coryatt breaks the clinch.
Yrkje lunges at Coryatt with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Coryatt's hand.
Yrkje jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Coryatt throws a head kick but Yrkje moves out of range.
Coryatt moves out of range of the body kick.
Coryatt lands a glancing blow to the side of Yrkje's head.
Coryatt misses with a straight right.
Yrkje lands the left hand.
A jab lands there for Coryatt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Coryatt. Yrkje does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yrkje closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Coryatt! Yrkje dives in looking to finish! Coryatt is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

After winning the bout, Toby Keith Yrkje thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
