Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Davdio Branko (ranked 288 p4p, 232 weight class) and Mickey Cowan (ranked 20 p4p, 14 weight class). Mickey Cowan is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Davdio Branko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Cowan!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cowan pinned against the cage. Cowan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Branko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cowan but Cowan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Branko dives in and scores a takedown into Cowan's guard.

Branko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cowan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cowan wants to get back to his feet but Branko is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cowan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Cowan looks to land a right hand but Branko moved out of range.
Branko shoots in but no luck this time.
And Cowan responds with a good body kick, but Branko manages to step out the way in time.

Branko shoots for a double leg takedown but Cowan sprawls well. He's pushed Branko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Branko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Branko is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Cowan to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Cowan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Davdio Branko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Davdio Branko will probably get the nod.

Cowan moves into range and connects with a jab.

and Cowan scores with a counter punch that sends Branko to the canvas! Cowan smells blood - he's punishing Branko with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Branko has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey Cowan!
Mickey Cowan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
