Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Branco (ranked 4215 p4p, 3901 weight class) and Jorge Rocha (ranked 260 p4p, 249 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jorge Rocha was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
An inside leg kick lands from Rocha.
Jorge Rocha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Branco is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rocha is just riding it out for now. Branco eventually gives up the hold.

Branco has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Branco is pushing down on Rocha's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rocha is fighting to maintain full guard but Branco has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rocha looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rocha tries to roll over but Branco keeps him under control.

Branco is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rocha is pressing down on Branco's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Rocha had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Branco defends it easily.

Branco passes into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jorge Rocha showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Branco leaves Rocha with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Branco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Branco tries to get out of the position.

Branco is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rocha is aware though and is defending well.

Branco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rocha defends well.

Branco escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rocha gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rocha got a little sloppy there for a moment and Branco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rocha has managed to get both his arms back between Branco's legs - danger averted.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Branco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rocha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rocha drops back looking for a leg! Branco is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Branco manages to kick Rocha off! Rocha jumps back into Branco's guard.
Rocha trying to control the position from guard on top but Branco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that's the end of the fight!
Antonio Branco showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Branco has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
