PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Ryo Hazuki (ranked 22466 p4p, 23851 weight class) and Pharoah The First Chai (ranked 416 p4p, 419 weight class). Ryo Hazuki had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Pharoah The First Chai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hazuki looks to clinch
and Hazuki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Chai tries to land a front kick but Hazuki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ryo Hazuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chai throws a body punch but Hazuki moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Chai.
Chai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hazuki manages to avoid it.

Hazuki clinches with his opponent.
Hazuki goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Chai utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Chai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chai takes one on the button.
Hazuki looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hazuki drops his hands momentarily and Chai takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Hazuki is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chai connects with a quick right hand that sends Hazuki tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
