The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xavier gets the takedown into side control.

Bronx throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Xavier stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Bronx follows into mount!

It looks like Javier Xavier has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Xavier tries to hold on but Bronx pushes him away.
Xavier is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bronx looking to control and managing it successfully.
Xavier manages to control the position for a moment.
Bronx trying to control but Xavier is having none of it.

Xavier is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bronx is staying active.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Javier Xavier just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bronx gets a clinch.

Bronx breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bronx looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bronx tries for a takedown but Xavier sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Combo Bronx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Xavier shoots in looking for a takedown. Bronx tries to sprawl out of it but Xavier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bronx manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bronx plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Xavier is rocked!
Bronx connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Xavier! He's out on his feet! Bronx rushes in and drops Xavier with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
