Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Whelan (ranked 2365 p4p, 2502 weight class) and Zark Muckerberg (ranked 320 p4p, 336 weight class). Whelan comes to the cage accompanied by The Mamas & the Papas - California Dreamin'. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Zark Muckerberg!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whelan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Whelan shoots in and bounces Muckerberg off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Whelan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Muckerberg is just riding it out for now. Whelan eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Muckerberg felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Whelan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Muckerberg stacks Whelan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Muckerberg!
