Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Moe Lester (ranked 2843 p4p, 22634 weight class) and Panda One (ranked 0 p4p, 598 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Panda One!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lester.
Lester seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
One bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Despite the aggression on One's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Lester connects with a crisp jab.
One throws a lazy uppercut
and Lester connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lester changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lester just misses with a punch to the body.
One lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lester at a distance.

One shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lester is trying to defend but One finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
One prevents Lester from improving his position.

Lester preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Lester is looking for a sweep. One is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

One is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lester's half guard.

A lull in the action here as One stalls from top position.
Lester looks to move to half guard but instead One has passed into mount! Damn!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lester.
One lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

One pulls guard.

Our spies down at at Crapollas Gym inform us that One has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Let's hope that One has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lester looks to land a right hand but One moved out of range.
One will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Lester takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Moe Lester's cut is getting worse.

One lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
One goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Lester will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Panda One has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lester has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

One throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lester's waist but Lester gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing One off to one side.

Panda One seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

One has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lester uses from the top position.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from One.
Lester postures up in One's guard and throws a big left but One blocks it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A swing and a miss from Lester.
One goes for a small jab and connects. Now One goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Lester stumbles back but One runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Lester to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Lester will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Panda One!
