The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pan takes a jab right on the kisser.

Pan rushes Paavola and presses him up against the cage.
Pan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Paavola gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pan.
Paavola keeps control of Pan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A head punch on the inside from Paavola fails to land.
Paavola struggles to land a body shot inside as Pan controls his hands.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Pan.
Paavola tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paavola has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pan throws an elbow but it misses.

Pan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A chopping leg kick lands by Pan.

Pan closes the distance and clinches.

Pan tries to pull guard but Paavola holds him up against the cage and eventually Pan drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Pan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Paavola smiles and moves away.
Pan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paavola sprawls well. Paavola wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pan gets slowly back to his feet.

Paavola cracks a nice hook into Pan's ribs.
Pan is breathing heavily.
Pan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Paavola manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pan lands a body shot.
Paavola connects with a body shot that sends Pan's belly button to the back.
Paavola closes the distance and clinches up with Pan, looking for a takedown. Paavola pushes Pan against the cage but Pan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Paavola digs a good hook to Pan's body.
Pan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Paavola and Pan goes tumbling to the canvas! Paavola follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Pan is rocked!

It looks like Peter Pan has been cut.
Paavola looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Oh Pan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paavola tries to pass to full mount but Pan defends it.
Paavola lands a big elbow - Pan is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Paavola!
