The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whelan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mornanovskisharipov avoids it really well and circles away.
Whelan goes for a double leg but Mornanovskisharipov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mornanovskisharipov continues to drive forward.
