Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ralfe Gracie (ranked 6034 p4p, 13824 weight class) and Nico World Citizen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). World Citizen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rich Bitch. Nico World Citizen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
World Citizen lands with a kick to the temple. Gracie shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but World Citizen keeps moving.
World Citizen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.

Gracie lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Gracie is nestled in close to World Citizen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gracie in particular looking to stall.

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but World Citizen sees it coming and defends easily.
World Citizen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
World Citizen wants to control the action here but instead Gracie manages to pass to full mount!

World Citizen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
World Citizen reaches up and holds on to Gracie to control the position.
Gracie is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. World Citizen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Poor strikes thrown by Gracie there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A momentary lapse in concentration from World Citizen enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. World Citizen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if World Citizen can do anything to dispel that myth.
