Hale comes to the cage accompanied by Lone Wolf - Tenggar Cavalry. George Hale has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, George Hale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale misses with a hook
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hale fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Johnson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hale lands a nice shot that snaps Johnson's head back.
Hale throws a body shot but no joy.
Hale throws a looping overhand right but Johnson ducks down to avoid it.
George Hale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hale fails with an attempt to clinch.

Hale rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hale cracks Johnson with a nice body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hale throws a punch but it's blocked by Johnson.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Johnson connects with a right hand. Hale shakes it off.
The fighters circling - Hale throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A little jabbing left from Johnson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Hale avoids nicely.

Hale clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage.
Hale blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Johnson is trying to break free.
Hale misses with the head strike.
Johnson lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Hale lands a shot to the body.
Johnson throws a punch but it's blocked by Hale.
Hale tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hale fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hale slips under a jab from Johnson.
Johnson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like James Johnson has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hale tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
A big left from Hale misses.
Hale connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Hale ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.
Johnson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hale misses with a left hand
enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.
Johnson misses with a hook.

Hale has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

Johnson breaks the clinch.

Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hale throws out the jab.

Hale misses the shot to the body.
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Hale.
Johnson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hale tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hale is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson.
Johnson throws a counter combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hale scores with a three punch combo!
Hale cracks Johnson with an open hand slap.
Hale throws an overhand right that lands on Johnson's shoulder, as Johnson tries to avoid the shot.
Hale ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.
Despite the aggression on Johnson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Johnson moves out of range of the strikes.
Hale misses with an uppercut.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that George Hale will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on James Johnson's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Johnson throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hale colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Johnson as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hale is left battered and dazed whilst Johnson and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Johnson!
During a confident post fight interview, James Johnson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
George Hale was interviewed post fight and said 'Thank you to my opponent and all the fans, my coaches and sponsors.'.
