The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obama throws a hook to the side of Romanow's head but Romanow sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

As Romanow backs away, Obama returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

It looks like Marcel Romanow has been cut.
Obama pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Romanow changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Obama takes one on the button.
Both fighters circling a little - Obama finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Romanow chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Obama can pounce on him.
Obama uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Romanow.
Obama swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Obama takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Obama paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Romanow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A low kick lands for Obama.
Obama walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Romanow checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Obama is looking to slow Romanow down with leg kicks.
Obama avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Romanow throws a big shot that misses.

Obama throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Romanow blocks a leg kick.
And Romanow tries to counter it with a takedown but Obama pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The fighters circle momentarily. Obama darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Obama looks to land a right hand but Romanow moved out of range.

Obama cracks Romanow with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Obama has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Romanow to stand back up!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Romanow throws out a loose jab but Obama uses good head movement to avoid it.

Romanow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Obama's waist but Obama gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romanow off to one side.
A little feinted left hand from Obama on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Obama throws a hook but Romanow blocks it.
Obama cracks Romanow with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
