The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Komua moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Lou Sabatory has been cut.
Sabatory misses with a takedown
and Komua counters with a series of strikes. Sabatory will be more careful next time no doubt.
Komua connects with a jab.
Komua has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sabatory misses with a takedown
and Komua counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Sabatory takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Sabatory. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Komua connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sabatory's hands.

Komua lands with a kick to the temple. Sabatory shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Komua fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Sabatory square on the jaw! Damn, Sabatory is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

A relieved looking Samson Komua thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
