Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Carden (ranked 3094 p4p, 3212 weight class) and Jaxon Williams (ranked 361 p4p, 366 weight class). Carden comes to the cage accompanied by Simple Man. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Carden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jaxon Williams!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Williams prevents Carden from improving his position.
Williams working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Carden keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Carden stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.

Williams takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Williams is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Carden will probably get the nod.

Williams throws a nice looking combination but Carden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Williams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carden has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Williams finds it's way round the side to connect with Carden's head.

Williams goes for a double leg but Carden avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carden continues to drive forward.

Carden is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Nice takedown defense from Carden. No joy for Williams on that attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carden catches Williams with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Carden takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Williams fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Carden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Williams moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Donk. Carden catches Williams right on the button with a cross.

Oooooh!!! Carden has knocked Williams down with a huge combo! Carden steps away and waves a wobbly Williams back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Williams is rocked!
Carden lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Williams falls backwards - clearly groggy! Carden dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Carden!
An intense looking Thomas Carden took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Man that boy was talking a bunch of crap before this fight. But I came out here and showed his ass how we country boys do it. Line me up another one. Yeehaaw!'.
