Mizoguchi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, At Last. Candice Mizoguchi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Duc Hoang's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Candice Mizoguchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Duc Hoang!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoang misses with an uppercut. Mizoguchi saw that one coming.
Hoang closes the distance and clinches.
A head punch on the inside from Hoang fails to land.
Hoang is looking to take this one to the mat.
Mizoguchi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mizoguchi throws a nice looking combination but Hoang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hoang scores with a jab. Mizoguchi acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hoang looking to land some kicks to the body here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mizoguchi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hoang backs up against the cage.
It looks like Duc Hoang has been cut.
Hoang throws a jab but it's blocked by Mizoguchi.
Mizoguchi misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoang throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Mizoguchi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hoang thinking.
Mizoguchi clinches up against the cage.
Hoang lands a body punch in the clinch.
Mizoguchi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hoang has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mizoguchi regains guard immediately.
Mizoguchi is looking to stand back up but Hoang counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mizoguchi.
Mizoguchi is trying to control but can't.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Hoang has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Hoang in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Mizoguchi tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hoang!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Duc Hoang!
