PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Balzac (ranked 4060 p4p, 5209 weight class) and Stipe Miocic (ranked 455 p4p, 503 weight class). Miocic comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Till I Die kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Miocic is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Balzac is defending well.
Miocic has Balzac pressed against the cage, preventing Balzac from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Miocic looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Balzac with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Miocic is nestled in close to Balzac, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
