The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamada fails to land with a series of punches.
Yamada misses with a two punch combination.
Yamada tries to clinch up but Tottori circles away and keeps his distance.
Yamada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tottori tries to avoid it but Yamada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tottori to the ground. Tottori escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tottori closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Yamada is looking to control Tottori's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yamada avoid being mounted?

Tottori is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Yamada really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tottori. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tottori looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Yamada is looking for a sweep. Tottori is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tottori is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yamada defends it well.
Yamada trying to control from the bottom.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tottori in particular looking to stall.
Yamada looks like he's trying to stand up.
Yamada is refusing to be controlled, as Tottori sits in half guard.
Tottori is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yamada is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tottori shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Yamada wants to control but Tottori is keeping busy.
Yamada is looking to improve his position.
Yamada trying to control but Tottori postures up.
Tottori is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Tottori works his foot free and advances to mount.
Yamada looks gassed!

Tottori thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Tottori punching from mount but Yamada doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Tottori goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Yamada is on top in guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Tottori is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Yamada has his hands clasped together but Tottori extends an breaks Yamada's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Tottori.
