Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Li Gong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Williams!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gong cracks a nice hook into Williams's ribs.
Gong misses with a body kick.
Williams lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gong connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Luke Williams has been cut.
Williams moves out of range of the body kick.
Williams is looking for the big counter here.
Gong scores with a leg kick.
Gong misses with a wild body shot.
A head kick misses from Gong.
Gong throws a head kick that misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Williams crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gong - the referee stops the clock and Williams gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gong. Williams manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gong lands an overhand right.
Nice body kick there by Gong.
Gong scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gong fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gong's jab looks to have found its range, popping Williams under the eye.
Williams is rocked!
Williams stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gong.
Williams is still on wobbly legs! Can Gong finish him?
Gong instigates a clinch.
Williams seems to have recovered his senses.
Gong lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Williams pulls guard.
Gong gets to his feet - Williams follows without any prompting.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gong.
Gong throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Williams looks winded!
Gong takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gong lands a right hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gong circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Williams to the canvas! Williams doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gong keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Li Gong!
