The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prepolec circles away from the clinch attempt.
Prepolec looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Davies tries to close the distance and clinch up but Prepolec swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Prepolec throws out a counter right but Davies avoids it with no problem.
A jab from Prepolec finds it's way through Davies's defenses.

It looks like Delta Davies has been cut.
Prepolec lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Delta Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davies drops his hands momentarily and Prepolec takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Prepolec lands with an uppercut that bounces Davies off the cage and back into range.

Prepolec throws a head kick but Davies moves out of range.
Davies is looking to counter the offense by Prepolec and move into the clinch.
Davies walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Prepolec unleashes a big counter combination but Davies bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davies moves in looking to clinch but Prepolec pushes him off.
Prepolec is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Prepolec doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Prepolec feints and then cracks Davies's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Davies down.

Delta Davies's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Davies tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Davies gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Prepolec.
Prepolec might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Prepolec connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Davies's hands.
Davies tries to clinch but Prepolec is having none of it.
Prepolec throws out a counter right but Davies avoids it with no problem.

and Davies takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Prepolec lands with a kick to the temple. Davies shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jeez, Delta Davies's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Oh Davies is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Prepolec lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Davies seems to have got his legs back now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
