Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scoot McGruff (ranked 4915 p4p, 2987 weight class) and Big Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scoot McGruff looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Bear catches McGruff right on the button with a cross.
Bear avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bear gets a clinch.
Bear lands with a right to the head.
Bear pushes McGruff back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Bear blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A hook to the body from Bear.
McGruff is breathing heavily.
A short uppercut from Bear.
Bear scores with a shoulder strike.
Bear lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of McGruff backwards.
Bear lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bear presses McGruff against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bear is leaning against McGruff and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Bear lands a shoulder strike.
Bear lands with a short head shot on the inside.

McGruff takes a shot to the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Bear.
Bear lands a body punch in the clinch.

Bear pushes McGruff back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

McGruff is rocked!

Bear gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Oh McGruff is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bear throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
McGruff on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McGruff tries to get out of the position.
Bear content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Let's hope that Bear has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
McGruff seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bear's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Bear stops McGruff from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bear in particular looking to stall.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bear gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A short uppercut from Bear.
Bear lands a shoulder strike.
Bear lands a shot to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Big Bear dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bear drops McGruff with a straight right hand, right on the button! Bear follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
