Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Klimenko (ranked 6 p4p, 264 weight class) and Kazuma Kiryu (ranked 1 p4p, 35 weight class). Klimenko comes to the cage accompanied by WEED & MEMORIES. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zachary Klimenko!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kazuma Kiryu!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiryu lands a nice leg kick that just misses Klimenko's sensitive parts.
Kiryu throws a low kick, looking for Klimenko's leg but Klimenko calmly moves out of range.
Kiryu swings widly with a right hand
and Klimenko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Kazuma Kiryu has been cut.
Kiryu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Klimenko.
Kiryu on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kiryu motions for Klimenko to come forward. Kiryu throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kiryu throws a jab when Klimenko was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Klimenko half committed to a counter leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kiryu looks for the body kick but Klimenko saw that one coming.

Klimenko closes the distance looking to clinch
and Kiryu counters with a nice uppercut.

Klimenko lands a big right hand that sends Kiryu crashing to the mat! Klimenko stays standing though and waves Kiryu back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Klimenko ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Klimenko quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Klimenko has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.

That has opened up Kazuma Kiryu's cut even more.

Kiryu misses with a kick to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Klimenko misses the target.

and Kiryu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kiryu lands with a hook. Klimenko tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Kiryu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Klimenko is looking for a counter combo.
Klimenko throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Kiryu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kiryu misses with a looping left.
Klimenko swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Klimenko throws a leg kick but Kiryu moved away.
Klimenko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kiryu was well out of range. Poor timing from Klimenko.
Klimenko connects with a body shot that sends Kiryu's belly button to the back.

Kiryu lands with a nice body kick.
Klimenko lands with a nice combination. Kiryu backs away looking to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Klimenko throws a quick counter kick to the body but Kiryu avoids it.
Klimenko lands a jab to the head.

The cut above Kazuma Kiryu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kiryu misses with an uppercut. Klimenko saw that one coming.
Klimenko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kiryu thumps Klimenko with a low kick.
Klimenko motions for Kiryu to come forward. Klimenko throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Kazuma Kiryu's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!

Kiryu circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kiryu makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kiryu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Klimenko to score with a decent uppercut.
Klimenko connects with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klimenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kiryu paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kiryu throws a lazy uppercut
and Klimenko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kazuma Kiryu's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Kiryu looks to land a body kick but Klimenko moved away.

Klimenko throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kiryu throws a head kick but Klimenko moves out of range.
Klimenko darts in trying to clinch
and Kiryu counters with a nice kick to the body.
Kiryu on the wrong end of a nice jab.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kazuma Kiryu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Zachary Klimenko!
