Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Genkei Takahashi (ranked 124 p4p, 406 weight class) and Dusty Rhodes (ranked 17 p4p, 54 weight class). Rhodes has chosen Bury My Bones as his entrance music. Dusty Rhodes has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Genkei Takahashi's chin.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes's jab looks to have found its range, popping Takahashi under the eye.

Takahashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rhodes sprawls well. Rhodes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Takahashi gets slowly back to his feet.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rhodes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
