Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Wetton (ranked 646 p4p, 1423 weight class) and Craig Simonsgaurd (ranked 97 p4p, 196 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simonsgaurd doesn't manage to clinch there - Wetton circles away.
Wetton appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Simonsgaurd wants to clinch up but Wetton keeps it at a distance.
Wetton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Simonsgaurd is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wetton pulls his head out easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Wetton's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
