Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zygor Bane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Abreu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafael Abreu has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Zygor Bane's chin.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abreu lands with a nice body kick.
Abreu is looking to clinch but Bane is avoiding it.
Abreu scores with a kick to the midsection.
Bane is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bane blocks the body kick.
Bane swats away the attempt to clinch by Abreu.
Abreu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Abreu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Abreu throws a nice inside leg kick.
Abreu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Abreu tries to close the distance and clinch but Bane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bane fails with the takedown.
Abreu drops Bane with a left right combo! Abreu follows him down to the ground into side control.

Bane is rocked!

It looks like Zygor Bane has been cut.
Abreu looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bane is avoiding damage well.
Oh Bane is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Abreu decides to stand back up.
Bane seems to have got his legs back now.
Abreu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bane. That did some damage!
Abreu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Abreu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bane counters with a nice double leg into side control. Abreu won't be happy with that.

Bane trying to control the action but Abreu is working from the bottom.
Abreu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bane in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Bane is chipping away with strikes.
Abreu misses with an elbow from the bottom.

Bane decides to stand up, so the ref orders Abreu to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bane throws a right and a left that Abreu avoids nicely.
Bane avoids the head kick by Abreu.
Abreu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Abreu misses with a low kick.

Abreu gets caught flat footed, as Bane shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bane gets to his feet. Abreu looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Abreu tries a head kick but it misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bane. That's going to slow Abreu down.
Bane throws a head kick that half lands.

Bane drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bane is stalling in the full guard.
Abreu looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Bane stops Abreu from standing up.

Bane gets to his feet - Abreu follows without any prompting.

Bane looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Abreu!
Bane tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bane manages to capitalize on a mistake by Abreu to take his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abreu tries to escape but Bane has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Bane biding his time, looking for the opening.
