Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Banks (ranked 2961 p4p, 2020 weight class) and Remington Knox (ranked 155 p4p, 112 weight class). Remington Knox will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robbie Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Remington Knox!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks fails with a takedown attempt.
Knox scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Robbie Banks has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banks moves out of range of the body kick from Knox.
Banks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Knox lands a big uppercut and Banks crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Banks looks OK. Knox waves Banks back to his feet!
Banks tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Knox swivels and escapes.
Knox throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Banks throwing a counter right hand but Knox manages to avoid it.

Knox lands a big right hand that sends Banks crashing to the mat! Knox stays standing though and waves Banks back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Banks tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knox sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Banks somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robbie Banks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Knox throws out a loose jab but Banks uses good head movement to avoid it.

Knox lands a big uppercut and Banks crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Banks looks OK. Knox waves Banks back to his feet!

Banks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Banks looking to sit in guard and control but Knox gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Banks wants to sweep here but Knox controlling him for the moment.

Knox stays in close to Banks's body and controls the position.
Banks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Banks tries to get out of the position.
Banks looking to control.
Banks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Knox passes into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Knox wants to pass to mount but Banks is defending the position.
Banks is looking to improve his position.
Still in half guard, Knox seems content to control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Banks closes this distance looking for a takedown but Knox circles away.
Banks fails with a takedown attempt.
Knox counters with a body kick.
Banks shoots and misses
and Knox counters with a straight right hand.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Knox enables Banks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Knox manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Banks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Knox is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Knox stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Knox is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Banks feints and as Knox raises his hands in defense, Banks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Banks trying to control but Knox is working from the bottom.
Banks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Banks landing with the ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Banks throws a big right hand that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Banks postures up in Knox's guard and throws a big left but Knox blocks it.
Knox is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Banks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Banks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Banks wants to control from the top but Knox keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knox preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Banks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Knox works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Knox looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Knox misses with an uppercut

and Banks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Knox won't be happy with that.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Banks takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Knox bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Banks's head.
Knox scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Banks doesn't seem bothered though.
Banks fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knox feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Banks sprawling to the canvas! Banks rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Knox finish him?!

Banks swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Banks feints and as Knox raises his hands in defense, Banks changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Knox managing to control the position.

Banks postures up in Knox's guard and throws a big left but Knox blocks it.
Knox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Banks wants to pass the guard but Knox is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Knox cracks Banks with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Knox has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Banks to stand back up!

Banks is rocked!

Banks is holding his hands too far apart here. Knox throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Banks is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Remington Knox!
After winning the bout, Remington Knox thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
