Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Lowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by No Apologies. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lowell ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Anderson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lowell.
Jab, jab by Lowell - just one landing.
Lowell tests Anderson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lowell throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Anderson on the side of the head.
Anderson fails to land the takedown.
Lowell jabs at Anderson's body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lowell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Lowell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Anderson wants to improve his position but Lowell is controlling well.

Lowell postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Anderson to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Lowell misses the target.
Lowell missing with a left hand there. Anderson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lowell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anderson misses with a takedown attempt - Lowell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Anderson shoots and misses
and Lowell counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lowell swivels and escapes.
Lowell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Anderson doesn't seem bothered though.
Anderson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Jason Lowell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lowell lands a jab to the head.

Anderson is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lowell sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Anderson's defenses. It connects perfectly with Anderson's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
