Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roger Glover (ranked 196 p4p, 5892 weight class) and Connor McSwagger (ranked 28 p4p, 562 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roger Glover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Connor McSwagger!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glover walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Glover throws a right hand that McSwagger ducks under and follows up with a left that McSwagger also avoids with ease.
McSwagger jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
McSwagger scores with a punch to the head.
Glover swings and misses with a shot to the body
and McSwagger counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A swing and a miss from McSwagger.
McSwagger throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice defenses there by Glover.
Glover has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Elite Island Training in the buildup to the fight.
Glover throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McSwagger counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
McSwagger slips under a jab from Glover.

Glover missing with a left hand there. McSwagger was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Glover misses with a lunging right hand
and McSwagger counters with a two punch combo.
McSwagger misses with an uppercut
and Glover counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
McSwagger slips a jab and a cross from Glover.
McSwagger misses the jab.
McSwagger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Glover.
Glover was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Glover doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Roger Glover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Glover throws a jab but it's blocked by McSwagger.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Glover lands a left and a right that send McSwagger crashing to the mat, dazed. Glover thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Connor McSwagger has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McSwagger throws a jab when Glover was well out of range.
Glover throws a lazy uppercut
and McSwagger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McSwagger scores with a jab to the head.
A jab from Glover misses.
Glover looks to land a right hand but McSwagger moved out of range.
Glover takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
McSwagger keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It seemed like McSwagger was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
McSwagger looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

McSwagger loads up on a big right hand but Glover slips the punch.
Glover bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McSwagger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Glover counter with a right hand.
Glover misses with a left hand
and McSwagger counters with a nice body shot.
McSwagger misses with a shot to the body
and Glover counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McSwagger lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Glover slips under a jab.
McSwagger throws a hook to the side of Glover's head but Glover sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Glover looks to score with a jab to the body but McSwagger is just out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Glover misses the target.
McSwagger jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Glover lands with a right that hurts McSwagger. McSwagger looks to clinch but Glover throws a short knee that drops McSwagger. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Roger Glover!
