Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mandlenkosi Thulani (ranked 547 p4p, 968 weight class) and Fred Young (ranked 29 p4p, 60 weight class). Thulani comes to the cage accompanied by Zara - Sojaboy. Young has chosen Real Ganja Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young misses with a lunging right hand
and Thulani counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Fred Young has been cut.
Thulani slips under a jab from Young.
A jab from Young finds it's way through Thulani's defenses.

It looks like Mandlenkosi Thulani has been cut.

Young drops Thulani with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Thulani looks back up at him and smiles so Young waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young misses with a head kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Thulani misses its target.

Young cracks Thulani with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Thulani looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Young finish him?

Thulani has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Thulani counters with a crisp one two that drops Young! Thulani thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Young to his feet! Young is in big trouble!

Young throws a looping overhand right but Thulani ducks down to avoid it.
Thulani defending well as Young loads up on a big left hand.

Young moves into the clinch successfully.
Young swings wildly with an uppercut but Thulani uses good head movement to avoid it.

Young scores with a jab to the body.
Young looks to throw the jab but Thulani is out of range.
Young has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

A little feinted left hand from Thulani on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A big right from Thulani misses.
Young lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Fred Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thulani scores with a jab to the head.
Young swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A quick step to the side and Thulani tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Young might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Young throws the left hand but Thulani avoids the punch easily.
Young throws a lazy right hand but Thulani sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thulani lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Thulani is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
