Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Marko Gracie enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

Gracie has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.

Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Gracie is working to tighten is grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gracie is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Gracie breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
