Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eli Pope (ranked 1922 p4p, 1513 weight class) and Sammy Nyla (ranked 258 p4p, 204 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyla swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Pope definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Pope was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Pope tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nyla was well out of range. Poor timing from Pope.
Nyla misses with a left hand

Nyla doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pope, as that shot connected.

and Pope counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Pope lands a big head kick that sends Nyla tumbling to the mat! Pope takes a step backwards and waves Nyla back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Nyla misses with a hook
and Pope scores with a counter punch that sends Nyla to the canvas! Pope smells blood - he's punishing Nyla with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Nyla has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
