PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darwin Budluvski (ranked 2984 p4p, 2421 weight class) and Anni Skystalker (ranked 356 p4p, 304 weight class). Darwin Budluvski had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budluvski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Skystalker tries to bum rush Budluvski with a series of wild strikes but Budluvski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Budluvski misses with a lunging right hand
and Skystalker counters with a three punch combo that has Budluvski backing up. Budluvski nods at Skystalker to acknowledge the strikes.
Skystalker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Skystalker takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Budluvski misses the jab.
Skystalker shapes to counter with a head kick.

Skystalker shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Skystalker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Budluvski is just riding it out for now. Skystalker eventually gives up the hold.

Skystalker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Budluvski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Skystalker.

Skystalker is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Budluvski has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Budluvski!

Skystalker is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Budluvski has his hands clasped together but Skystalker extends and breaks Budluvski's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Skystalker.
