Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ki Ruyjini (ranked 2573 p4p, 2459 weight class) and Johnny Puma (ranked 370 p4p, 354 weight class). Ruyjini comes to the cage accompanied by 修羅の花 Shura no hana by Meiko Kaji. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruyjini keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Puma.
Ruyjini was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Puma lands the left hand.
Ruyjini lands a nice leg kick that just misses Puma's sensitive parts.
Ruyjini lands a leg kick that knocks Puma off balance momentarily.
Ruyjini will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Puma shoots for a takedown but Ruyjini saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Puma jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ruyjini throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Puma tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

It looks like Ki Ruyjini has been cut.
Puma throws a hook but Ruyjini blocks it.
Puma takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ruyjini moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnny Puma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ruyjini moves forwards but Puma connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ruyjini finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Puma throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ruyjini swings for the body but Puma moves out of range.
Puma lands a glancing blow to the side of Ruyjini's head.
Ruyjini doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Puma gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ruyjini pounces like a tiger and cracks Puma with a vicious hook! Puma is down but not out! Ruyjini follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

After winning the bout, Ki Ruyjini thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
