Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ulysses Battleby (ranked 963 p4p, 1247 weight class) and Arturo Ellacuria (ranked 92 p4p, 118 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ulysses Battleby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arturo Ellacuria!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Ellacuria.
Ellacuria misses with a body kick.
Battleby is looking to counter punch.
Ellacuria throws a nice inside leg kick.
Battleby tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ellacuria manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Battleby checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A low kick lands for Ellacuria.
Ellacuria throws a leg kick
and Battleby counters with a solid body kick.
Ellacuria has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Battleby blocks a leg kick.
Battleby throws an off balance right hand
and Ellacuria counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ellacuria tests Battleby's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ellacuria with a nice calf kick.
The fighters circling - Ellacuria throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Arturo Ellacuria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Battleby lands a leg kick that knocks Ellacuria off balance momentarily.

Ellacuria cracks Battleby with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ellacuria throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Battleby moves out of range of the leg kick from Ellacuria.
Battleby checks a leg kick nicely.
Ellacuria is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ellacuria misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Battleby uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ellacuria.
Ellacuria pivots, looking for a leg kick but Battleby is out of range and Ellacuria settles back down.
As Ellacuria looks to move away, Battleby throws a big counter combo but Ellacuria just gets out of the way.
Ellacuria lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ellacuria uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Battleby.
Nice jab there from Battleby.
Battleby moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Battleby turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ellacuria throws a leg kick
and Battleby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ellacuria is rocked!
Ellacuria lands a high kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ellacuria connects with a high kick.
Battleby checks a low kick from Ellacuria.
Battleby looks to land a left hand but Ellacuria moved out of range nicely.
Ellacuria gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Battleby counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ellacuria's knee momentarily.
Ellacuria throws a leg kick but Battleby moved away.
Battleby dips to his left and cracks Ellacuria with an uppercut!
Ellacuria is still on wobbly legs! Can Battleby finish him?
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Battleby lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ellacuria has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ellacuria and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ellacuria seems to have recovered his senses.
Battleby finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Battleby checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ellacuria misses the shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Battleby cracks Ellacuria with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ellacuria looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Battleby finish him?
Ellacuria throws a push kick but Battleby slaps the foot to one side.
A combination from Battleby does no damage.
Battleby walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ellacuria drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Battleby swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ellacuria's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ulysses Battleby!
An out of breath Ulysses Battleby thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
