PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Saga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Partridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Adam Partridge was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ian Saga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Partridge!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partridge fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Saga misses with the combination.
Saga throws a nice looking combination but Partridge bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Saga, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Saga throws a series of punches but Partridge avoids them all with ease.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Partridge.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A left and a right from Saga both land. Nice combination.
Saga moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Partridge shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Saga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Partridge blocks Saga's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Saga tries to reverse the position but Partridge maintains control.
Partridge scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Saga swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Partridge with a couple of short strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Partridge prevents Saga from getting the reversal.
Partridge lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Partridge looks gassed!
Saga is trying desperately to improve position.
Partridge working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Saga slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Saga is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Partridge pulls his head out easily.

Saga looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Partridge lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Partridge working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Saga is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Partridge is tapping! Great win for Saga!
