Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Gomi (ranked 2999 p4p, 2502 weight class) and Rafa Peziev (ranked 184 p4p, 153 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gomi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Only Thing They Fear is You- DOOM Eternal OST. Rafa Peziev acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hiroshi Gomi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafa Peziev!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peziev throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gomi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gomi throws the left hand but Peziev avoids the punch easily.
Peziev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gomi defends well and Peziev ends up having to push Gomi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Peziev shoots in but Gomi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gomi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pezievs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Rafa Peziev has been cut.
Rafa Peziev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peziev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gomi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Peziev shoots in for a takedown but Gomi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gomi is trying to buck Peziev off.

Peziev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gomi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
