PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Roscoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Hatred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roscoe's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Forgot About Dre. Hatred has chosen White Zombie - Thunderkiss '65 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatred has a takedown stuffed.
Roscoe listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Roscoe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hatred's guard.

Hatred has his foot on Roscoe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roscoe works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Roscoe postures up.
Roscoe wanted to stand there but Hatred had control of the position.
Hatred bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roscoe's guard.

Roscoe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hatred drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Roscoe tries to land a front kick but Hatred steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Roscoe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hatred moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Roscoe decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Roscoe lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hatred gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Roscoe holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hatred has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Roscoe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hatred connects with a nice short shot to Roscoe's temple.
