Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Blikstein (ranked 1269 p4p, 1381 weight class) and Trage Tragedy (ranked 183 p4p, 202 weight class). Tragedy has chosen Bury Me In Southern Ground by Rebel Son as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Blikstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trage Tragedy!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blikstein bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Tragedy takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Blikstein bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Tragedy thumps Blikstein with a low kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blikstein is defended easily by Tragedy.
Blikstein looks to land a combination but Tragedy avoids it well.
Tragedy was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Tragedy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Blikstein throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tragedy.

It looks like Trage Tragedy has been cut.
Tragedy scoring well with a low kick there.

Blikstein lands a left and a right that send Tragedy crashing to the mat, dazed. Blikstein thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Tragedy is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blikstein shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tragedy looks to land a right hand but Blikstein moved out of range.
Blikstein moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tragedy throws a low kick, looking for Blikstein's leg but Blikstein calmly moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tragedy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Blikstein's hands.
Blikstein uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tragedy.
Trage Tragedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tragedy misses with a combination
and Blikstein counters with a stiff right hand.
Trage Tragedy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Blikstein lands a big head kick that sends Tragedy tumbling to the mat! Blikstein takes a step backwards and waves Tragedy back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Tragedy is still on wobbly legs! Can Blikstein finish him?

That has opened up Trage Tragedy's cut even more.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blikstein. Tragedy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tragedy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Tragedy seems to have recovered his senses.

It looks like Paulo Blikstein has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tragedy scores with a crisp jab that stopped Blikstein in his tracks.
Blikstein connects with a solid leg kick.
Blikstein takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Blikstein throws a lazy right hand but Tragedy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Blikstein looks to land a right hand but Tragedy moved out of range.
As Blikstein backs off Tragedy throws a huge counter combo but Blikstein manages to avoid it all.
Blikstein takes a jab right on the kisser.
Blikstein tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blikstein loads up on a big right hand but Tragedy slips the punch.
It seemed like Tragedy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Blikstein takes one to the chin there.
We've been informed that Tragedy has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Tragedy lands a jab to the nose.
Blikstein gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tragedy gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Blikstein is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trage Tragedy!
