Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jacques Durand Jr (ranked 3858 p4p, 23709 weight class) and William Tate (ranked 523 p4p, 661 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate misses with a wild body shot.
Durand Jr scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Durand Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like William Tate has been cut.
Durand Jr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tates jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Tate tries to clinch up but Durand Jr circles away and keeps his distance.

Durand Jr is looking to slow Tate down with leg kicks.
Tate tries to clinch there but Durand Jr circles away.
Tate pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Durand Jr back to the ropes. Tate follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Durand Jr catches Tate with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Durand Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Tate is trying to force a seperation but Durand Jr has the dominant position.
Tate takes a shot to the head.

Durand Jr pushes Tate away with a front kick.
Tate fails with an attempt to clinch.
Durand Jr misses with a few strikes there.
Tate is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Durand Jr finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Tate looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That kick from Durand Jr tenderised Tate's leg. Tate is trying to keep his angry face on.
Durand Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tate has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Tate throws a nice looking combination but Durand Jr bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jacques Durand Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tate crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Durand Jr - the referee stops the clock and Tate gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Durand Jr. Tate manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Durand Jr counters quickly with a head kick that drops Tate to the mat! The referee starts the count at 3 - will Tate be able to get back to his feet in time? 4,5,6, he's up. He looks OK so we'll continue the action!

Durand Jr is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Boom! Durand Jr lands a massive head kick that sends Tate crashing into the ropes, followed by a classic face plant on the canvas! He's up to his knees but he's not going to beat the count - this one is all over! Durand Jr is jumping around like a lunatic, extatic with the win!
