Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keanu Landron (ranked 1993 p4p, 5739 weight class) and Steve McMichael (ranked 257 p4p, 557 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keanu Landron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve McMichael!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Landron. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Landron.
McMichael misses with a straight right.
Decent striking displayed by Landron there.
Landron throws a looping overhand right but McMichael ducks down to avoid it.
McMichael looks to throw the jab but Landron is out of range.
Landron moves out of range of the strikes.
McMichael looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McMichael misses with a jab to the body
and Landron counters with an inside leg kick.

Landron pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McMichael back to the cage. Landron follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

McMichael tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Landron manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Landron throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McMichael sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Landron ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steve McMichael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Landron dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McMichael. That did some damage!

Landron tries to move into range but McMichael moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
McMichael jabs Landron to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Landron throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McMichael rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Landron moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Landron, as that shot connected.
McMichael throws a solid leg kick but Landron takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McMichael.
McMichael swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A big right from Landron misses.
Some bone on bone action there as McMichael checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
McMichael looks to land a right hand but Landron moved out of range.
McMichael misses with a looping right.
McMichael blocks a head kick by Landron.
McMichael fails in his attempt to clinch.
McMichael throws a jab but it's blocked by Landron.
Landron checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

and McMichael takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McMichael throws the left hand but Landron avoids the punch easily.

Landron swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
McMichael closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
McMichael avoids the head kick by Landron.
McMichael tries to work over Landron's front leg with a kick but Landron checks it.
Landron thows a left - swing and a miss!
McMichael throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Landron with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McMichael to score with a decent uppercut.
McMichael throws a low kick but Landron moves out of range easily.
Landron looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McMichael lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Landron has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Landron and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Landron throws a shot from downtown. McMichael moves away and avoids it.

McMichael throws a lazy right hand but Landron sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Landron throws a head kick but McMichael moves out of range.

McMichael wants to clinch but Landron slips to the side
and Landron cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McMichael avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Landron misses with a hook. McMichael ducked under it nicely.
Landron throws a series of strikes that have McMichael backpedaling.
McMichael thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sloppy strikes from McMichael. Those never looked like landing.
Landron throws a low kick, looking for McMichael's leg but McMichael calmly moves out of range.

McMichael slips a jab and a cross from Landron.
Landron takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
McMichael throws a nice outside leg kick.
McMichael throws a hook to the side of Landron's head but Landron sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Landron walks into a stiff left hand from McMichael.
Landron is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Landron is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. McMichael doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Landron crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Landron's bad books for that mishap!
