Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vizual Mercenary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Valentino Santiago!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercenary's jab looks to have found its range, popping Santiago under the eye.
It looks like Valentino Santiago has been cut.
Santiago shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mercenary sprawls well. Mercenary wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Santiago gets slowly back to his feet.
Mercenary gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Santiago advances position into side control!
Mercenary wants to get back to his feet but Santiago drags him back down.
Santiago thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mercenary is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Santiago advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mercenary stops Santiago from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Santiago takes Mercenary's back.
Santiago is cranking Mercenary's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Mercenary! He's tightened the choke and Mercenary is tapping out!
