Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rantang Gustus (ranked 2444 p4p, 1202 weight class) and Mafula Kape (ranked 198 p4p, 112 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rantang Gustus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mafula Kape!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Kape.
Kape looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kape catches Gustus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kape scoring well with a low kick there.
Sloppy strikes from Gustus. Those never looked like landing.
Gustus takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A good leg kick by Kape.
Kape connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gustus fails with a takedown attempt.
Gustus has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gustus there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kape connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gustus momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gustus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kape ducks under a wild hook from Gustus.
Kape feints and then cracks Gustus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gustus down.
Kape lands with an overhand left.
That kick from Kape tenderised Gustus's leg. Gustus is trying to keep his angry face on.

Kape rushes Gustus and presses him up against the cage.
Kape prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kape works on Gustus's body with a couple of short punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kape working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kape pushes Gustus back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Kape misses with a punch to the body.
Kape presses Gustus against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Kape misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kape fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kape tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gustus's elbow.

Gustus has clasped his hands together around Kape's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Gustus working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kape really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gustus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gustus has hold of Kape's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kape tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gustus cranks the arm and Kape screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kape, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rantang Gustus!
